This is my initiation to post informations regarding orchids and particularly nepalese orchids. Orchids are one of the most beautiful creatures of the world. I will frequently update informations about it. As a student of Masters Degree in natural science, i am working with orchids from Nepal, Bhutan and Tibet. This inspired me to create this blog and post informations.
You cooperation and suggestions will help me. There are scattered knowledges in this field. I met couple of experts involved in this. We can make a community within people working in this field and share ideas to conserve this beautiful creature. Because of overpopulation, rapid urbanization and pollution, orhids are under threat.

This is Srikant Yadav from Kathmandu. Im studying BDS (1st yr) in Kantipur Dental College. Im also an orchid hobbist. I have been collecting orchids for couple of years now. i have phalaenopsis, cattleya, oncidium, vanda, dendrobium, paphiopedlium... to name a few.
I really admire your effort and congratulate you for being the first site dedicated to nepali orchids (as far as I know).
